Matilde and our talented team of cake artists individually hand-decorate each one before it’s delivered to your celebration - anywhere across London inside the M25.

We turned the ovens on 13 years ago because we couldn't find the kind of high-quality cake we wanted to eat in London. Over the years, we've been trusted by Harrods and Selfridges and baked thousands of delicious, personalised cakes, all handcrafted from scratch with organic flour and sugar, free-range eggs, Madagascan vanilla and luxurious Callebaut Belgian chocolate. Beautifully finished by some of the country's most talented cake decorators.

We bake every cake fresh for each customer's order

Flavourtown cakes are handmade from scratch here in our NW10 bakery. That means weighing, creaming, mixing and then baking to perfection - nothing is bought in. Always fresh, never frozen and never pre-made. Your cake has been handcrafted especially for your order by our amazing team. Some bakeries make their sponges days in advance - that's not the Flavourtown way. The cakes we deliver today, didn't exist at this time yesterday.

We have 13 years of cake baking experience

We launched in 2013 because we couldn't find the kind of high-quality cakes we wanted to eat - so we gave up our media and design careers and started Flavourtown. Over the years we've baked, tasted, tested and tweaked our recipes to create the cakes London was missing. We have a non-negotiable commitment to creating quality cakes that are impossible to resist, that beg you to have another slice - delectable soft, squishy sponges that are packed with flavour, decadent fillings that add texture and a touch of luxury, and icings that balance sweetness and creaminess perfectly.

We make it all ourselves

Our sponges, fillings, compotes, macarons, frostings and decorations are made in-house by our talented team. We don't operate production lines, we never use machines to fill cake tins or cupcake cases, and we don't use preservatives to give our bakes extra shelf-life.

Flavourtown recipes are top secret

We don't share our recipes for good reason; we spend years perfecting them. We make Flavourtown cakes using special techniques that we've developed in-house over many years, and if you've ever tried our Red Velvet, you know all about that incredible texture and flavour. Some bakeries throw everything into the mixer using an all-in-one method - we prefer famously-fluffy over dense and chewy.

High-quality ingredients make the best cakes

It might sound obvious, but you can't make sensational cakes with cheap ingredients. We've never compromised on quality, even when ingredient prices have tripled - the provenance and origins of our flour, butter, sugar and chocolate matter. We work with organic Shipton Mill and Doves Farm flour, organic sugars from Tate & Lyle, French butter, locally sourced dairy, Madagascan vanilla, free-range eggs and luxurious chocolate from Callebaut in Belgium, Irca in Italy and Valrhona in France.

We offer a daily London hand-delivery service that now covers all postcodes inside the M25. This is premium direct delivery from our NW10 bakery to your door and comes with full live tracking on your chosen day. Our cakes are carefully boxed into secure recyclable boxes and delivered by drivers who are specially trained in how to handle precious baked goods.

Award-winning quality you can taste

Free-range eggs

We use organic free-range eggs.

The truth is that happy hens lay better quality eggs, and better quality eggs make better quality cakes. Those golden yolks give a deeper, richer flavour.

Organic flour

We use organic flour from Shipton Mill and Doves Farm.

Apart from the fact there are no weird pesticides or additives, organic flour has a consistent protein content. Protein helps the texture of sponges - the lower the protein content, the softer the sponge.

Organic sugar

Our sugar is organic and comes from Tate & Lyle.

The Flavourtown bakers craft our cakes with caster, light brown and dark brown sugar, and nothing else comes close to the quality. Tate & Lyle exclusively uses cane sugar for the purest flavour. We've only ever used Tate & Lyle icing sugar in all of our frostings - it helps give our icing that signature smoothness.

French butter

French butter.

Our butter has almost 83% butterfat, which means it has a lower moisture content. This high butterfat helps keep Flavourtown sponges super-soft and gives our icings that delicious mouthfeel. Cheaper butters with a higher water content typically have 'extras' added in to try and mimic quality.

Couverture chocolate

Our chocolate comes from Callebaut in Belgium, Irca in Italy, and Valrhona in France.

We only work with couverture chocolate because it has a high pure cocoa butter content. Couverture chocolate is smoother and has a richer, deeper flavour. Many bakeries use compound chocolate which has added vegetable oil to make it cheaper to produce.

Madagascan vanilla extract

Extract - never essence.

Vanilla essence is essentially fake vanilla and it's made with chemicals to replicate the taste of vanilla. We bake with Madagascan vanilla extract - this is extracted from real vanilla beans for a rich, complex vanilla taste.

PERSONALISED CAKES IN LONDON

A personalised cake doesn’t have to be specially commissioned or require hours of planning. That’s why we’ve made it easy to order personalised cakes with hand-piped messages or greetings in five colour options. All Flavourtown cakes can be personalised with Happy Birthday messages, the recipient’s age, or even short phrases - ‘Flirty at 30’, for example. You can add your message easily during checkout - each cake will offer either a HAND-PIPED MESSAGE or a PLAQUE MESSAGE option, depending on the design.

Many of our cakes, such as Bling Cakes, Lambeth Cakes and Vintage Cakes, allow you to choose your own customisable colour scheme, so our talented cake artists can decorate your cake exactly the way you want it.

We've been carefully delivering cakes across London since 2013, so we know a thing or two about making sure your order arrives tasting and looking amazing.

Browse our collections and select the perfect cake for your occasion, choose a delivery date and breeze through our secure checkout. It's that easy.

Every cake starts its life on a super-sturdy cake board. Our award-winning decorators trim, fill and stack your cake on this solid base, hand-pipe the final details, then carefully box it up. They'll even add a barcode label to your order for tracking. Before it leaves us, your cake is chilled to make the journey safer.

Our specialist courier partner uses trained drivers who know exactly how to handle delicate cakes. On your chosen date, we'll scan the unique barcode on the box as your cake leaves our NW10 bakery - that scan sends you a text message with a live-tracking link. You just sit back and follow your cake's progress from our kitchen to your door. Bespoke cake delivery in London - fully tracked.

CAKE DELIVERY LONDON - ORDERING FAQS

You can order your cake right here on our website. This includes everything from choosing cake size, personalisation and delivery date. We can also help you place orders via email or over the phone. For security reasons we aren't able to accept payments over the phone.

We usually need 48 hours notice, so order today for the day after tomorrow. For example: order Monday by 11pm for delivery Wednesday. We do get booked up around times such as Valentine's Day, Halloween etc - so please order as far ahead as you can. Our London cake delivery service runs seven days a week - including Bank Holidays. The only days we typicall don't deliver are Christmas Day, Boxing Day, December 27th, December 28th, December 30th and 31st, and January 1st and 2nd.

Absolutely! We offer a range of vegan cakes with London-wide delivery inside the M25. Our vegan cakes are handcrafted with the same premium ingredients and attention to detail as all of our cakes. .

We have a few options for your cake delivery here: Our ANYTIME delivery will arrive between 8am and 5pm, or our premium PRE-MIDDAY option will arrive between 8am and noon. If you need an even more specific time slot, or a direct delivery from the bakery to your event - reach out and talk to us - we'll be happy to look at options with you.

Yes! You'll receive a text message with live tracking when your cake is out for delivery, so you can follow its journey from our bakery to your door in real-time. .

No - unless it's the summertime and really hot. Keep your cake in a cool room and out of direct sunlight. If your house is hot, and you do need to keep your cake in the fridge - make sure to give it at least two to three hours to come back to room temperature before serving.

All Flavourtown products are handmade in a kitchen that handles gluten, eggs, milk, soya, nuts and sulphites. We also use products form suppliers who may handle peanuts and sesame in their factories. We cannot guarantee that any Flavourtown bakes are free from these allergens.

We offer 6", 8" and 10" cakes across most of our range, with some cakes also available in a bigger 12" size. As a guide, based on our standard four-layer cakes:

6" - 6-10 generous portions
8" - 12-18 generous portions
10" - 20-26 generous portions
12" - 40-44 generous portions

Two-tiered cakes:
6"+8" - 18-28 generous portions, or 50-60 party portions
8"+10" - 32-44 generous portions, or 80-90 party portions
