Canon Camera Cake

We love it when Flavourtown customers push us to do amazing things with cake. We had a request this last week to make a Canon camera cake for a surprise birthday dinner. This cake had to be amazing because the birthday boy is a crack professional photographer (no pressure then).

We moulded the body of the camera by hand to make sure every curve was captured in sweet detail, we then printed off the actual camera displays with our edible image system and mounted them all along with a handmade lens onto the camera itself.

The cake underneath is our chocolate 5.0.. Three layers of Valrhona chocolate sponge slathered with real chocolate frosting and white and dark Belgian chocolate ganache! Oh yeah we then rolled the cake in Belgian chocolate splinters.
