This cake was never meant to be part of the Flavourtown range! One of our fantastic cake decorators, Claire, invented it for our co-founders' birthday about five years ago! We put it on Instagram and had such a HUGE demand for it to become a permanent addition to the menu... we thought, let's give it a try… It’s now one of our top 5 all-time sellers.

Sponge: Four alternating layers of our famous Red Velvet and Oreo crumble sponges.
Filling: Each layer is slathered with cream cheese frosting and a generous handful of crushed Oreos.
Frosting: Filled with our deliciously tangy cream cheese icing and finished with an outside coat of less sweet Swiss meringue buttercream.
Decoration: Covered in lightly toasted Red Velvet cake crumbs and finished with Belgian chocolate truffles (we make them by hand in our London bakery), chocolate drizzle and more Oreos.

In May 2024, my daughter tried the Red Velvet Vs Oreo cake at her friend's birthday party, it was instant love, and it was the only cake she wanted for her 18th birthday, there's always a worry when you buy cake that it's going to be dry and bland, but thankfully this cake was rich, moist and full of flavour, everyone at the party loved it, myself included.
In regards to the order process, the website was easy to navigate and when the cake was delivered, the polite delivery person, handed it over in perfect condition.
I would absolutely order from Flavour Town bakery again anytime we need a cake.

Cake care
Your Flavourtown cake is best eaten on the day you get your hands on it, but we know that often, our customers like to have their cake the day before the event. Storing your cake is easy; keep it in its box in a cool room or store it in the fridge if it’s particularly warm. If you keep your cake chilled, allow three to four hours for it to come to room temperature and for the sponge to soften.
